Cuenca

I finally got off my ass and resisted the laziness in Riobamba and set off on a 6 hour journey to the lovely city of Cuenca. Cuenca is a lovely city with cobblestoned streets and really beautiful people. It{s also a pit stop for ppl choosing to visit Ingapira (Inca ruins located about 2 hours away). The bus ride to Cuenca was pretty crazy as our driver was a maniac. Seemed as if he was speeding at least 70 mph through the mountain hill sides. I thought I was going to die a multiple of times, but at the same time it was fun. I really couldn{t get a load of teh scnery outside as it was pretty cloudy. However, on the bus I did meet a german tourist who was also headed to cuenca so the trip wasn{t all that boring as I spent the time on the bus conversing away. Yesterday, me and the girl headed off to see the Inca Ruins. Was pretty amazing and teh scenry was pretty kick ass. I uploaded some pictures on my facebook account for those interested. From there we headed back to town and decided to have some coffee and cake. Not bad. Ended the day celebrating the girl{s birthday. Turning 25. woo hoo. had some pretty nice tacos at this tex mex restaurant owned (but selling in 2 days) by some american dude who lives in Asheville. That pretty much sums up Cuenca. Today I am off to Loja and hopefully will cross into peru tomm..
