Leaving Quito and major puke episode
I finally made it out of Quito and now sit in Riobamba, at the base of Chimbarozo. Chimbarazo is located in the Andes and is the highest peak in Ecuador towering at 5,000 meters above sea level. I must admit, that I´m sad to leave my friends in Quito, but i know it´s a much needed escape as the nightly drinking escapades have turned out to be a bit too much. I spent the last day going on the sky tram with Sam, an australlian girl I had met. We went up the Telefonico and got amazing pictures of the city of Quito. It was pretty high up towering at 4,100 meters above sea level. On a whim, we decided to do some horseback riding which was pretty amazing. We had a blast. After that I headed home, took a nap and then grabbed some dinner upstairs. Here I met this really nice lady who talked her brains off. She ketp talking and talking and talking.. I was so bored, but I felt bad for her because maybe she didn´t have anyone to talk to at home. After that I headed out with Sam and some of the guys who work at the bar for a night out on the town. Drank and danced the night away, and returned at 2 am knowing that a bad hangover was awaiting for me the next morning. In the morning, after my french toast and fried eggs lunch I hopped on the bus and made a 4 hour bus ride to RioBamba. Enroute sad to say, I puked all of my breakfast as it probably was a bad idea going status post drinking heavily the night before. The plan now is to catch a train ride that is supposed to have amazing views up to chimbarazo. I might do some treeking and mountain biking. Oh by the way, happy thanksgiving to all. I keep forgetting it´s thanksgiving.
